BAI partners with FAO and USAID to strengthen Philippines’ animal health services
“Through this meeting we hope to share and discuss partners’ interests, main objectives and ongoing activities in regards to animal health. We also would want to map ongoing activities in strengthening the countries animal health capacities being conducted by partner agencies and organizations. We would want to explore strategies to reactivate steam and collaborate institutional platforms such as the Philippine interagency committee for zoonosis and the Philippine interagency committee on antimicrobial resistance.” Director Limson said.
The consultative meeting discussed and explored how to improve and streamline coordination in the implementation of various projects and initiatives in the animal sector for more impactful results and outcomes.
Participants of the meeting included officials and representatives from the FAO, World Health Organisation (WHO), Department of Health (DOH), USAID, European Union (EU), Australian Embassy, Philippine College of Veterinary Public Health (PCVPH), Philippine Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA), Philippine College of Poultry Practitioner (PCPP), Philippine Veterinary Drug Association (PVDA), Philippine College of Veterinary Epidemiologists (PCVE), PhilVet Health Services (PhilVet), National Dairy Authority (NDA), National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) and BAI. ###
